Kelly King is honored to have been a part of the Royal Farms family for over 12 years. Currently serving as the Benefits Manager, Kelly flawlessly blends two of her favorite focuses: employee appreciation and systematic processes. Just months into her new role, Kelly has already begun implementing updated employee satisfaction, recognition, and involvement measures as well as broadening the company’s benefit offerings. She has thrown herself head first into the nuance of employee benefits and recently completed her first round of Open Enrollment for thousands of hard-working team members. Her love of training, passion for community involvement, and attention to detail have brought her to this influential stage in her career.
Kelly's journey at Royal Farms began as a store manager, a position she adapted to easily given her early fast-casual restaurant experience. After almost four years in management, she transitioned into training department as a Field Trainer, which then led to her five year tenure as the leader of the new store opening team. In that role, Kelly's commitment, tenacity, and process-minded focus grew the Royal Farms brand exponentially. A team expansion and a total of almost 300 stores later, Kelly's growth mindset remains unmatched. Her love of learning and desire for excellence has carried her through multiple promotions and certifications. From her bachelor's degree in Psychology in 2005 to her Alcohol Seller/Server instructor certification in 2017, Kelly has continued to bring organizational excellence to every role she has held. In 2022, she obtained her Professional of Human Resources (PHR) certification and became OSHA 30 certified this year. She has assisted in launching numerous programs including new software such as HRIS systems, time and attendance systems, and a communications platform during her time at Royal Farms. She prides herself on her ability to understand the need for structure balanced with room for growth and strives to ensure every employee is given the tools and information they need to find balance in our ever-changing world.
